Wildlife Monitoring

Wildlife monitors are the unsung heroes of Haddo.

If you love nature and enjoy sitting quietly for a time just watching animals, birds and insects, or if you have a keen eye for plants, then we would love to hear from you.

We are building a research portfolio for Haddo.  We want to know what we have, where, and in what numbers.

In conjunction with NESBReC, we aim to hold a comprehensive record of all things living onsite.  This research can then be used by academics and decision makers to advise on best practice for achieving a positive outcome in relation to protecting wildlife whilst running a very busy country park.

It is incredibly important work, if we don't know what we have how can we ensure we are moving in the right direction?  Data is everything.

Basic training can be given on how best to carry out a survey, how to record your findings, and how to submit them to both NESBReC and Haddo.

This position would make an excellent addition to a CV for someone studying ecology, as well as those who just enjoy being in nature at quieter times.

If you would like to learn more about this role just send us a wee message and we'll put you in touch with the right person.
